About YeastCoast

An open brewing notebook — archival craft, community recipes, and honest stats.

YeastCoast is built for home brewers who treat recipes as living documents: ideas that branch into variants, get brewed as batches, and accumulate notes worth keeping.

Criterion Collection meets Patagonia Field Notes meets GitHub for brewers.

Recipes, variants, and batches

A family holds the idea. Each variant is a concrete bill and process. A batch in The Cellar records what happened in the real world. Calculated estimates stay labeled; measured values identify their source. Null means unknown — never invent a number to fill a card.

Community without the feed

Public recipes are meant to be read, forked, and brewed. Engagement counts come from real saves, appreciations, and forks — never fabricated popularity. Sparse data stays honest: one published recipe is still a notebook worth opening.
